Insulating glass is more and more used because of its good heat and sound insulation performance. Its thickness is mainly determined by the thickness of glass and intermediate spacer. The production thickness of the spacer generally has three specifications: 6mm, 9mm and 12mm (refers to the size of the intermediate spacer after the insulating glass is made). The glass is generally 5mm and 4mm. The thickness of insulating glass is determined by the plastic frame (fixed frame), the main profile of the fan, the glass bead and the glass sealant strip. If the insulating glass is thick, the glass batten cannot be installed. If the insulating glass is thin, the sealing is not tight, which is easy to be permeable, and the glass is easy to move. Still take the 60 series fixed windows and 80 series sliding windows produced by Shide group as an example for analysis. When installing 5mm flat glass, the thickness of the glass batten of Shide 60 series fixed windows is 34mm. If installing insulating glass, the thickness of the double glass batten is 19mm, and the installation glass gap is increased by 15mm, the thickness of the insulating glass should be 20mm (5mm + 15mm = 20mm). At this time, the insulating glass of 5mm + 9mm + 5mm (glass + spacer + glass) can be used, Or 4mm + 12mm + 4mm hollow glass. If necessary, glass sealant strips with corresponding thickness can be used to compensate for the size change. For 80 series sliding window, when installing single-layer glass, the thickness of single-layer glass batten is 20.5mm, while the thickness of double-layer glass batten is 7.5mm. If the gap of double-layer glass batten is increased by 13mm, the total thickness of insulating glass can be 4mm + 9mm + 5mm = 18mm, or 4mm + 9mm + 4mm = 17mm or 5mm + 9mm + 5mm = 19mm. If necessary, it can be compensated by changing the thickness of sealant strip.
